The Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve seeks two summer educators: one to co-direct a 6-week Summer Science School for children entering 2nd through 8th grade from July 5 through August 13; another to work with middle school-age campers conducting biomonitoring on local beaches and assisting with a variety of research and stewardship projects throughout the Reserve, part part of a regional project involving institutions throughout New England. The Alaska SeaLife Center is currently recruiting for two AmeriCorps members within the Education Department. These two positions will work with the Alaska SeaLife Center full time for six months, starting January 25, 2010 and ending July 24, 2010. AmeriCorps provides a living stipend and an education award upon completion of the program. Travel to and from Seward and housing are the responsibility of the members.
