Job Opportunity – Environmental Educator, Florida

The Environmental Educator is the curriculum supervisor of, and an instructor for Sanibel Sea School, Inc. The Environmental Educator reports to the Executive Director, and is responsible for the organization’s achievement of its mission through the planning and execution of an excellent curriculum of experiential education centered on marine environments and conservation.

Mariners’ Museum Educator, Virginia

The Mariners’ Museum located in Newport News, VA, is seeking full-time or part-time Educators (part time positions may satisfy internship requirements). The Educators will conceive, research, develop and implement general history and/or science based programs for classroom or distance learning settings. Programs may address elementary and secondary school educational objectives, gallery-based presentations and adult continuing-education programs that enhance the public’s understanding of the Museum’s mission, collections and resources. The successful candidates will also: serve on exhibit development committees in order to represent the Education Department with respect to the interpretive programming that will complement the exhibition; evaluate and critique the interpretive programs presented to the Museum’s visitors; and participate in the management of interpretive and educational programs.
